Tax Case

Introduction

Our client is a family business in the service industry. They were represented by a tax agent and have for years accumulated a large tax debt that they were not aware of. The tax office started legal action to recover the debt and the clients were offered no help by their tax agent.

Positive outcome

Clients approached us for help. We immediately contacted the tax office and stopped all legal action and worked with the clients to resolve the matter. We had several meetings with the clients to understand the situation and concluded that the accumulation of the debt was beyond their control. We made a case on behalf of the clients to the tax office and after two stages of objection the tax office agreed to release $44,850.15.
